What are your top three favorite holidays?

Halloween is just around the corner. I love Halloween ... the decorations, the dressing up, the trick-or-treating (which I did until I was 22, by the way). I just don't like the haunted part of Halloween.

So, I was wondering, what are your three favorite holidays, ASFN? Vote and be heard!

For me, I'd have to say Halloween, Christmas and St. Patrick's Day. I think they are the most fun. Plus, Christmas has spiritual meaning for me.

I also love Memorial Day and Independence Day. My family was very into the patriotic meaning of those holidays. I remember putting flags out in the yard for both holidays when I was young, and I still do that today. Plus, we were always at the Jersey shore for those holidays. Lots of great memories.

Easter is huge important, but the weeks leading up to it are tough.

So, share your stories!

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Independence Day.

1) I love setting aside a whole day to be thankful for the blessings in your life. It's unique to the States, but transcends religion...everyone gets to participate!

2) I love giving gifts. I love to see the expression on my kids' faces when they open something that they didn't even know they wanted.

3) I'm a patriot...love the 4th of July. So much fun. BBQ, fireworks, swimming...it's a perfect day, outside of grueling heat.

I am pretty traditionalist.

Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving in that order.

Thanksgiving is fantastic because you can eat until you are sick, watch some football, and then eat some more. Unfortunately I am usually stuck cooking as well so it is cook, football, cook, football, eat, football, and then someone else better be cleaning.

I LOVE my birthday. And this one is a big one...30. Only about a month left of my 20's.

I dont really care about the 30 or 40 or whatever.. Im just happy to be alive another year. It seems every year I get older I appreciate life more and more and then you always get those harsh reminders that life is precious. Thats why I love my b-day.

In no particular order:

Christmas: I'm a good gift giver, but I can't wrap worth a crap. I usually pay my niece to wrap them, but she's away at FIDM now so I don't know what I'm gonna do. At any rate, it's a good excuse to drink wine and have ravioli at my mom's house, and I like to get presents for people that I know they like because I got hosed when I was a kid. I don't care if anyone gets anything for me, I actually usually just by myself something and wrap it because of the aforementioned "hosings" I got when I was a kid.

Halloween: I love halloween, I dressed up as Britney Spears a few years ago, and let me tell you, it was HOT!!! Did Tom Brady and matt Leinart recently too...It's a great excuse to get cruddy drunk and have a good time and usually you can find some sexy looking girls out there so that helps.

New Years: Again, a WASTED fest so has to make my top three. Have a regular thing of Outback Steakhouse for Lamb Chops for dinner and then the Block Party on Mill, although did WestGate last year to see the Peacemakers.

Essentially, all holidays are good because they are a reason to drink, and most peeps don't work so you can get drunk with your friends together all on the same day. Thanksgiving is my #4, but hitting the BIG 3 0 in 8 weeks so I'll enjoy this one this year.

I would have voted for SuperBowl Sunday and maybe even NFL Kickoff weekend if they were on the list

4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! Life just wouldn't be the same without fireworks, beer, the Chipmunks singing Christmas carols, egg nog, and decorations.

I can tell you're not Irish. (It's Paddy's Day, not Patty's.)
