Alan's Thursday:


* Woke up at 3 a.m. in Phoenix to fly back to Philadelphia (my dad was in the hospital in Phoenix - he's OK now).

* Fly 3 hours, 50 minutes to Chicago.

* Fly 2 hours to Philadelphia.

* Get stuck on a bridge from Philly to New Jersey for 4 hours because of a hostage situation.

* Get the crazy idea of using my digital camera to take photos from the scene for my newspaper.

* Finding a woman on the bridge who is 9-months pregnant ... who I had to help into a SWAT vehicle after she WENT INTO LABOR.

* Go to newspaper to drop off photos.

* Finally get home around 9:30 p.m.

Yeah, that was crazy. I guess the guy snapped.

Of course we will never hear the full story of why he snapped, but it is obvious this is one citizen who had enough of the B.S. going on right now [attempt to keep vague, and try not to plunge this cool thread into the R&P board].

Im glad I dont live in Philly.. Damn.. Thats a standoff? With everyone just walking around? That looks like it could have been much worse.. Plus the weather looks like it sucks..
