Weird food habits.

Inspired by the cereal thread, and the turn it took with the baby food and raviolis. Do any of you guys have weird food habits? I was telling my wife that my mom always put sour cream on Chocolate Tatsykake cupcakes, which I thought was disgusting. I have a friend who puts syrup on his entire breakfast whenever he has pancakes or waffles. He pours it on eggs, grits, corned beef hash, whatever's on his plate gets doused with syrup. Myself, I think the only weird habit I have is mustard on scrapple, which I always thought was normal, as my grandmother always served it that way. I'll always remember this one kid in my grade school would put potato chips in his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. WTF?! I still can't stand ketchup on eggs.

Scrapple.

When me and my brothers were little we used to have a neigbor that would threaten to poison us with that stuff. He told us it was pig intestines and bat guts and slugs and glass.

I get kinda grossed out when people put ranch dressing on everything. Pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, etc

Quick Google says it's "cornmeal mush made with the meat and broth of pork, seasoned with onions, spices and herbs and shaped into loaves for slicing and frying."

Sounds disgusting. Actually, sounds like Spam with onions & seasoning.

Scrapple is the poster-food for why Jews eat Kosher. It's the boogyman of pork products.

I put my eggs over easy in between 2 pancakes, and dip my sausage, bacon or ham in the syrup.

I put thousand Island on my hot dogs. Only if there is no cheese on it, then its Ketchup and Mustard and Mayo.

I also like Mayo on everything, sort of like the Ranch people whom I have no problem with. I mash up garlic in Mayo for my steak sometimes, had it at one time eating out and it was great.

I also love Blue cheese on everything (not the dressing the cheese). A lot of people dont like it becuase it stinks, but my motto with cheese is the stinkier the better.

I don't think I have any weird food combos, but I am very weird in that my food cannot touch each other (LL Cool J in Toys), and I eat all of one thing before moving on to the next item. Usually all my vegetables first, then the starch, and then the meat. Watching people mix their corn & peas & such into their mashed potatoes makes me sick to my stomach. Bleh.

While not fanatical about letting food touch, I generally eat all of one thing then move on to the next as well.

The fear of a Fruit Smoothie must just be too much for you.

Me too!!! I save the best for last!!!

I try to keep things as separate as possible, though. Separating rice and corn is the hardest....

I also alternate my bites of food between the 2 sides of my mouth. I chew with the right side of my molars first, then the left side and so forth and so on....

I cook with sh!t tons of garlic. Also like to use a lot of lemon or lime, cilantro, fresh cracked black pepper, fresh ground sea salt and basil. Oh, yeah. I can throw down in the kitchen....
