How much is appropriate?

Do I tip each guy or just the head guy?

Depends on them. If they do a good job putting your stuff where it belongs, and not hitting the walls or damaging anything else in the house, $5 a head would be fair in my mind unless it's a huge oak entertainment center or something, then $10 a head would be fair.

I always just give them 5 to 10 bucks depending on the size of the item and factoring in the amount of stairs.

When the delivered my Armoire for my bedroom up stairs I gave them each 20 becasue the thing was heavy a hell and they didn't scratch a wall.

Just tip the head guy. I have tipped from 10-20 per mover depending on how much you have, how far from house to truck, etc.

When I moved, I tipped $20 each guy and bought lunch when they loaded it in Jersey. Then, I tipped $20 each guy and bought breakfast when they unloaded in AZ.

When I got my new bedroom set, I tipped each guy $5.

I am getting a couch with built in reclyners delivered. They just have to bring it in the front door.

I think that is worth $10 each. I will just give the head guy a $20.

I never ever tip a furniture delivery guy. The 60-80 you pay to have the damn thing delivered is beyond reduiculous. They have never been at my house more than 10 minutes and I paid as much as 80.00 No frigging way Im tipping on top of that. Who's bright idea was it to start tipping these guys?

I have noticed that people from the east coast tend to tip for service far more than people from the west.

Dude, do NOT just tip the head guy. I don't know how movers work, but I cannot tell you how many times that I worked a banquet and the head server got the bonus and kept everything for herself. Some people suck like that.
