I just keep thinking "Just 24 1/2 years til retirement. Just 24 1/2 years til retirement."
You know I was out of the office on BS work-related stuff on Monday and Tuesday. I told my boss that that would put me way behind. She said "Don't worry about it." Well, she came into my office this morning wanting to know where all my work is. Um, I told you this was gonna happen, boss. I mean, I'm awesome and everything but it is rather difficult to lose two days of real work and expect me to still have three days work done by Thursday morning.

I used to have a boss like that--drove me crazy. He would come in and give me tasks like, "Look in the yellow pages and find where I can buy a hanging porch swing for my wife for our anniversary". Then he'd be mad I didn't get the deposits done for the day. He also used to make me balance his personal checkbook because he was too stupid to figure it out himself. The man made close to $200k a year, and would be in the whole every month. It was such a blessing for me when I left there. Didn't think so at the time, but that job made me swear to myself that I would NEVER continue a job I hated.
