I personally don't ever care about rated/overrated/underrated...it's all a matter of taste. I happen to like them. Some people don't. I never understood why some people get so wrapped around the axle defending/bashing bands (not saying you're doing that--just making a comment). If you like them, fine. If you don't, fine.

I don't see the point in debating a matter of personal taste. It's like trying to convince someone Rocky Road is the best ice cream to someone that doesn't like chocolate. It's a waste of time. When it's a topic you can debate objectively, it's different.
Ask Kim sometime how I did in debates in high school.

Rattle & Hum is a fantastic album, as well as the Joshua Tree. Most of their 90's stuff I like. I know it (for some reason) is an unpopular stance around here, but U2 falls into my top 5 favorite bands of all time.

Don't get me started on Pearl Jam. Talk about overrated. They have one song, and sing it almost the same way each time. Nickelback is the new Pearl Jam, only ten times better. That should tell you something about how much respect I have for the bag of puckered aholes aka "Pearl Jam."

Yes, dear. I caught that a couple of posts ago.
SOME people enjoy debating. I have to be in the mood for it. Often times, people haven't formed an opinion on a subject yet--that is the value of debates. Not for the two people debating, but for the audience. ie, Presidential debates. They benefit those that have not decided yet on subjects or candidates. Debates are very valuable tools to help people look at all sides of a subject, and come to their own conclusion. But, you have to be an open-minded type person to really have it be of any use to you.
