The Best Mexican Food on the Planet

Luis Zendejas recently took Dave Pasch and yours truly to a joint called Comidor Guadalajara. It is amazing food. It is near downtown and is now my pre game/pre concert party place.

To get there, exit I-17 truck route at 7th street. Go straight through the light on the outer road. When you get to Central make a right and then an immediate left into the parking lot. Basically it is on Central and I-17 on the west side.

Unbeliveable service, prices, and atmosphere.

Has anyone been there before?

Never been there but I'm always on the look out for good mexican food. Do you know if they have a website or a menu listed somewhere?

My absolute favorite mexican resturant is in Albuquerque, NM. A place called Monroe's - it's so good imo that I've planned a vacation just as an excuse so that I could go eat there.

I don't know of a website.

They have your typical Mexican food. Chimi's, Burrito's, Relleno's, Fajita's, etc. The salsa is hot but flavorful. They have strolling Mariachi's and Luis tells me that the place goes off on Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's.

I had to skip dinner tonight because the portions are so big. I spent $7.95 for my lunch and it was great.

Coach Mac is rumored to love the Guacamole. I like it too!

I remember one time in college I was visiting my brother down at New Mexico State in Las Cruces. We went to Chope's Mexican restaurant and they had strolling Mariaci's. After a few Bud Lights I requested Feliz Navidad. Hey, that is a great song, but the problem was that it was the middle of April!

Ahhh, what beer will make you do. They actually played it though. The whole bar was singing Merry Christmas in the middle of April. Classic!

It's not the kind of place that would have online menus as it is in a not so nice area of Phoenix. Also I think they are closed Mondays, or at least they were 6 months ago.

Yeah, I've checked online but found nothing. That's cool though, it's sounds like it's good so I'm going to try and get over there in the next week or so.

I am coming to town with someone who has never been further west than Austin, Texas. So I am thinking of taking him to some decent mexican food.

Maybe we will swing by this place, I had thought of taking him to Oaxaca downtown.

It is a very friendly atmosphere. They have security guards in the parking lot for everyone's safety.

Can someone explain to me why no one has heard of "cheese crisp" on the left coast?

It is impossible to find on a menu. Everyone has quesadillas, but cheese crisp is an unknown.

I really like cheese crisps with diced tomato, onion and green chilis on top. Good stuff!
