I want SOMEONE to remember the Zody's that was at 43rd & Peoria before it became a Target (~1981). My ex-husband swears it was never anything but a Target, but I know he's wrong. Just can't find anyone to back me up.

Totally OT: I have no recollection of this "Zody's" you refer to, but I would have been ten.

And I was nine. Glad I'm not the oldest of the clique.

If it was a Zody's before September, I would have been nine as well.

It was about 70% in the morning and now about 35%... I think it was 106 or so around 1:00 PM. I was driving around for some chores and boy it felt hot! The car AC was useless.

There was a service merchandise right next to Target.

Yes, but the space that Target occupied (before it was torn down & rebuilt) was called Zody's before it was Target.

I love Aistin but when that Texas humidity kicks in it's pretty nasty.

Hey its cooling off today. Down to the mid 90's but with 80% humidity.

That humidity is a killer. It almost feels hotter at 7am (70%) than at 2pm(30%)

But we're finally getting some rain today so we can't complain.

Problem is people here drive like the roads are covered with ice everytime it rains.

Of course Austin is the city where a prominent musician visiting for SXSW said that people drive around Austin like they've got nothing better to do.

I also like the comment that the problem with traffic in Austin is that most of the drivers are either stoned or just moved here last week and don't know where the heck they're going.
