thankfully it's a found cat - in typical cat fashion i walk out of the bedroom after driving myself insane, tearing apart the house, scouring the neighborhood, calling shelters and talking to my neighbors to see him casually stroll across the floor - somehow staying hidden for in excess of 5 hours......................

as for what kind of cat - a grey tabby - definitely a housecat, indoors who tries to escape - part dog in behaviour - just a cool animal - here's a pic that he actually created when one of my buddies got up to use the bathroom

and now the family is all together again.......

Cats are crazy. My cat is a housecat but escapes sometimes. She always knows where her food and love is. TRUE

Always feed your cat treats, and before you give it to them give it a good shake. Thus they will come out for food. Cats LOVE food.

I have had this "Where the HELL is my cat?" problem as well. Stupid cats always find new hiding spots. Then they fall into that ridiculously deep sleep and you can't find them and you get all worried, cause you know they are inside cats and are too stupid to know what a car or bear is outside, and you panic, and then they just come STROLLING into the room at the last minute like nothing is going on and you pick the cat up and hug it so hard you think its going to poop itself (see photo for example).

Stupid cats.

I've had experiences like you all have described.

When I moved into my house, one of the vents didn't have a grate over it. Guess who decided to investigate the issue? My cat, Cally. Silly cat.

My place is pretty small now, though, so it's rare that I can't find her.

Your cat looks a lot like my cat. Seen here in the fetal position. That's how he likes to sleep.
