So they have been e-mail spamming me and telling me about the event, I had totally made up my mind about not going which is going to be in October
Then they called my mom (because the bastard's haven't moved, let alone changed their phone number in 25 years) to find out some info about me, turns out she gave them all my info and I come to find out the want me to give a speech I was one of the founding members of the computer club circa 1994 and they want me to discuss the evolution of the industry. If you see our picture in the yearbook you will literally LOL.
So I don't want to go, not only will there be about 8 ex-girlfriends there, but I'm not exactly the fine physical specimen I was in the 1990's. My wife is guilting me into it and I'm getting a lot of peer pressure.
Should I fold or should I stand my ground and ditch this crap.

I like this but you have to do it with a straight face. Get outragous with your accomplishments and end with announcing that you are officially running for president of the USA and you hope you can count on there support.
