I'm not sure what you expected. This is simply one more way for people to protest the war. No different than what has happened in San Francisco and New York.

Sorry Bob, but I disagree there. Its classless. War protests have as much place at a hockey game, during the visiting teams national anthem, as I do at an NRA convention.
The forum was completely inapproproriate.

Whenever people have an opportunity to publicly voice their opinion about an issue as serious as this one, they will do it. I am not saying it was right or wrong, just saying that this sort of thing is to be expected.

I heard on KTAR that during the Suns game the other night they played GWBush's short speech about the war up on the big screen and the crowd cheered (before being hushed by security, of course J/K).
People were asked about "cheering" for going to war and they all said "It's about time we get rid of Saddam Hussein."
Back to the Montreal incident... "SCOREBOARD!"

It makes my stomach sick to hear things like this. Maybe all those anti-American protesters should move to Canada.

EXACTLY, and a few of the players said the booing got them more pumped up to go and kick Montreal's butt on the ice!
Genius move, eh?

Makes me wonder...
Was it Draft Dodger Family Night in Montreal?

I thought about booing O Canada last night but choose better. Why? Because their country is doing what they believe to be right. I won't fault someone for that. Booing a national anthem is a slap in the face. It is more then just a simple protest about the war, it is an insult. If they want to protest, sit down don't sing whatever ... but booing is simply way too disrespectful.

The NY Islanders also have a number of Americans on their roster. I think they were leading at one point 5-1 in the game.
