Renaissance Festival
I went today with my wife, daughter and one of her friends. We go every year at least once. We had a really good time and it was the first time the friend had been so that was cool too.
The wife was very happy because not only could she fit into her costume again this year but we found out that it is a little big on her. We may have to replace the top next year. Here is a pic from two years ago.
Anyone else go to this?

Very pretty.
I got food poisoning last year there. Makes me leary to go back. However, I am going back to the Civil War battle reenactment today.
Sorry about the food poisoning...that sucks. I haven't ever gotten sick and I usually eat a ton when I am there.
What is the civil war reenactment?
Battle of Picacho Pass and Glorietta pass are reenacted every year halfway between here and tuscon. Its fun, I go with a highly attractive redhead friend of mine from college who is my equal in being a nerd.
i went to one growing up and enjoyed myself - went to the one out here after I moved in and have no interest in ever going again
coming from the west valley it's pretty much a full day trip - getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare and it was more trailer park than midevil times, imo
i seriously think this ruined the whole concept for me
