I.D. badges are long overdue. Security in this office park is a joke. Last year, I came to work with my spud gun in a duffel bag. I sat at my desk all day, with a rifle that shoots potatoes at 60 pounds per square inch. Can you imagine if I was deranged? - Dwight K. Schrute
OK, this thread made me crack a smile and almost nothing around here makes me crack a smile.
When I was in my 20s and didn't have 2 lbs. of calcium build up on my shoulders, I thought my "gun" was way too big for D league. Or C or B. Called up City of Mesa and asked to be placed on an A League team. I couldn't hit home runs but I could hit opposite field and nail down third base. Showed up for practice and they had another guy in fresh out of the Brewers rookie league camp. He had flunked out. They had him in centerfield. After about the third ball he threw from about half a mile out to me at third base, I was begging for him to take something off it. All of those guys went yard every at bat.
They bought me a pitcher of beer and suggested I try a nice D league.
