Piano movers

Can anyone suggest a place that I can get to move my piano? I need to have it moved about 3 miles from where it currently sits, how much should I expect to pay?

Anyone have experience with this?

I moved it the last time but I really hurt my back getting it through the front door. The time before that I paid these mexican dudes with beer and they gladly moved it.

Joel, how much did you pay???

Thing was a real bear - a player piano.

Paid $250 to move it once and then it was included in our most recent move. We paid like $600 for a mover to move most of the things in our house recently.

It is definitley worth it. They will have insurance, most likely, in case anything happens to it during the move. Also by the time you rent a big truck, pay friends with beer, chiropractor bills, etc. it is a bargain.

There are specific piano movers in the yellow pages, but call a couple of movers too. Definitely price out at least 4 - they should be able to quote you over the phone.
