My new friend

I got a dog today from Petsmart. She's 10 months old, some kinda collie mix, really small, maybe 15 pounds at the most. I named her Aiden.

I did. The main reason i actually wanted a dog this old is because she is already house broken. I ask if if she needs to "go potty" and she runs to the back door.

Correct me if I am wrong, but in the past, PetSmart would never sell puppies. They offer space in their store for volunteer rescue groups to help find homes for unwanted/abandoned puppies and dogs.

Is this still the case or did I miss something?

It was a shelter dog. She was saved from being killed by the group that brought her to petsmart.

And I loved Gads dog from the picture, but she's just too big. Aiden can be a house dog. I'm gonna consider putting in a doggy door.

I'm glad that it was a shelter dog. Yay for saving a doggy's life!

I named her after Detective Aiden Burn, from season 1 of CSI NY. She was killed off on the show, but is way better than the chick they replaced her with.
