Kudos to 4 Nebraska High School students

In honor of MLK Day, West Side High School in Omaha, Nebraska each year asks students to nominate one of their own students to be recognized as an outstanding African-American student.

4 students nominated their fellow student, Trevor. They put up about 100-150 posters and spread the word.

The school suspended them.

Trevor and his family moved here from South Africa. Trevor is an African-American in the true sense of the word but his skin color is white.

I'll find this story when it hits the papers. Heard it on 550 AM at 7pm tonight...Charles Goyette show.

The school had a perfect opportunity to honor MLK by selecting a student regardless of the color of their skin, but instead they got all PC about it.

Love the show. Too bad Art is only doing weekends now. George Nory is not too bad though.

Anyway, great story BIM. PC sucks!

I didn't agree with him on the stadium issue, but he was the most well thought out and consistant of the opponents, so I appreciated his perspective. I thought he let his position - as a talk show host - allow him to associate with people that did a diservice to him (New Times, LaRue Gates, Scott Bungaard). Although those were really the only people that agreed with him, so he didn't have much of a choice.
