Katrina, here I come....

Well folks, wish me luck. (Or say a quick prayer).

My husband and I leave tomorrow morning for a week of cleanup/volunteer work in some towns surrounding New Orleans. A bit nervous about the conditions of the air, etc. but are prepared with masks, soap, bleach, gloves, etc. Looking forward to some time away from the kids, just he & I. However, we've never been away from them for more than overnight...a whole week is freaking me out. Waterworks have already started.

Just wanted to say g-bye & wish everyone a FANTABULOUS week!!! Be back on the 12th.

You should PM me. I was in EVERY town surrounding New Orleans, including New Orleans. I can probably give you a bunch of good info. Ponchatoula, Hammond, Covington, Slidell, Amite, Chalmette etc.
