Jury Duty

Well, I received a summons for jury duty in the mail. Just wondering how many of you here have ever served on a jury and what did you think of it?

I served on the last two times I was called and actually found it pretty interesting.

I have always gotten out of it. I have been summoned 3 times, not attending once.

I did jury duty once. It was for a DUI.

I had to be excused because the dude on trial was my old Vector Calculus professor.

I think he got off - he had some slick lawyer.

It sucked because I had to take a whole day off work because we had to report like 10:00 am and our czse didn't get called until like 1:00 and then with the selection, it was almost 2:00.

Oh well, I was able to see Braveheart in the theater that afternoon though. SCORE!!

I haven't heard that one before.

Schrodinger would argue that though.

I've only be summoned once and I got out of it. Actually, I forgot to show up (i had just gotten back from college and it was x-mas break and yeah... anyway). I freaked out and thought I was gonna be a felon now, but my number got dismissed anyway, so all was good. Whew!
