I'm going to guess they didn't really clear the plugged roof drain like they thought?
Been working on this for 2 days with the landlord's plumber tracking down the source of water in an empty building we're trying to sublease. Finally tracked it to a plugged roof drain(tree roots) that for some dumb reason comes down inside the building. It's backing up into the building. Plumber snaked it out last night, said he needed a different bit to really get it but it should be ok overnight. It rained ALL night, and this is what I came in this morning and found. Yes that shiny surface you see is all water, I think I got about 30 gallons out with my shopvac already and that's just the standing water the
carpets are soaked. I've got a janitorial crew headed over to help but I'm guessing the carpets are a loss. Only good thing is it's on the landlord's dime not ours.
