We leave Sat. morn. We'll drive most of that day through flagstaff,
Kingman, and into the san jacion valley of CA where most of our fruits
and veggies and wine comes from. We'll stay at Tulare CA in a Day's Inn
at the foot of the giant redwood forest. Total drive time to Tulare is
about 8-9 hours. We'll go see the giant sequoias, waterfalls, and kings
canyon, the deepest canyon in the world or the US. We'll drive 4 hours
in the afternoon to Pinecrest CA and camp near the ranger station. On
mon. we'll get our fire permits in the morning and hit the trail in the
Emigrant wilderness... We'll stay out there probably 3-5 days depending
on how we are feeling. I was thinking maybe of driving through Vegas on
the way home, maybe staying the night there to break up the drive home.
