If someone you loved killed someone....

What would you do?

Imagine this is your wife or husband, loved one, or child and it was an accident but the evidence would suggest it was not and you know you could probably help them get away with it if you acted now.

Tough question. I'll get back to you once I've had my coffee.

I would help them hide the body... just because it would be a hell of a lot more interesting.

If it was like a hit and run or something like that. I would convince them to turn themselves in. It would hurt, but killing someone and walking away, only to go on with your life is unacceptable.

I'd have to convince them to turn themselves in unless it was really weird circumstances. I just couldn't sleep at night with any of the other options.

From the stuff I see on The Discovery Channel, you can’t get away with anything anymore.

What if it was just a good ol' fashioned pre-meditated murder?

I'd have to know why. An abusive spouse perhaps? Sexual molestation?? That might be enough to push me to cover up your tracks.

Based on this scenerio, if I knew for a fact it was a true accident (i.e. not a hit and run, but something along the lines of "electrician working on a house, forgot to shut off outside power, my wife comes in fliups on the light switch, guy has a heart condition and the low voltage is enough to kill him" but something else happens to make it look like it was a murder and I had no doubts that it was going to look like murder and she was likely to get convicted, I would first try to get her off with a really good lawyer, and bail money, and if it didn't look good, me and the kids would be making a run to Arruba with her for the rest of our lives.

Always try to solve it the right way first.

The poll needs another option where you help them to lie by framing someone you hate for the crime.

I like your thinking.

Originally I was gonna say give them what they needed to get to Mexico, but then I realized that Canada was actually closer than Mexico. Then I realized that I wouldn't want anyone in my family damned to Canada, so I would say I'd have to encourage my loved one to turn him/herself in.
