Ice Makers and filters

So I'm proud of myself for fixing my ice maker on my own, even though a 2-year old probably could have done it.

But regardless, it hasn't worked for 2 years, it's fixed now but the line is a bit dirty.

I've made about 8 cycles of ice, but there is still a twinge of dirt in there...

My question is, do filters usually got on the line coming from the wall to the fridge? Because there is NOTHING on mine and I can't believe the guy who installed it the first time never put one on it.

Anyone know?

I know that refrigerators that have water in the door and such have a filter inside the fridge (usually near the temperature adjustments on the top shelf).

I would google your model and see what type of filter it has/takes.

My fridge has no water in the door, so my supply line comes straight from under the sink. If it wasnt for my RO system, my ice would be tap ice.

When I hit the ice button on my fridge, it activates the water dispenser. When I hit the water-dispenser button, it activates the water-dispenser. It sucks.

Can you fix my fridge, Mike?

I have no water spout, so I doubt I can fix your problem Pariah.

But since I have no spout, my line comes right into a Water Valve that then shoots into my ice maker. The valve is in the lower back of the fridge.

So I'm thinking I have zero filter on it. Ugh.

The problem is obvious. Your refrigerator is upside down.

That will be $20 ASFN bucks, please.
