I need help in buying an international phone card

We have an employee who is moving to American Samoa and as a present we want to get her an international calling card so she can use it out there to call her friends in the US. Does anyone know where I can get one of these cards?

You need to be careful when buying them as some say that they will work and they WILL, but they just charge at a much higher rate than the card says. I think that Walmart sells them for pretty good rates.

All 7-11 type stores carry them but yes buyer beware. Lucy uses them to call her parents when they're in the Philippines and she's yet to get a card where the minutes they tell you and the minutes you actually get are the same. You have 70 minutes, 15 minute call, you have 32 minutes left. Connections have been very inconsistent, calls to customer service invariably they "credit" you for lost minutes and when you next use the card you lose minutes again.

By far the worst card she had believe it or not was an MCI card, cost more, less minutes, and unreliable.

The worst part is we've yet to find one that tells you upfront how many minutes you are supposed to get, you have to buy it and use it to find out.

when I was in london I set up an ATT card that was billed to our landline account back in the states

going over the deal on the phone the pricing seemed great, the concept seemed great ..... until I got the bill

they completely mistated the prices .... the bills ended up being like 5x what it should of been and they were realy d'bags about it

obviously I had nothing more on my side then my own pen scratches from when i was on the phone with them

after that I just used local cards I bought over there ..... some were better than others .... buyer beware all around though
