i am hooked on woot.com, is anyone else
this is a super cool site. everynight at 11:00 az time they post a new item. most are super cool and super cheap, but some are lame. most of the great stuff is gone super quick. everything is $5 for shipping mo matter how big or small it is, like the 56 inch plamsa they had.
i am not trying to spam out this site.
i am just curious if anyone else frequents this site.

There was an article about that site in the WSJ and then all of a sudden it exploded.

That would be a great deal other than the fact that the TV is 720P which isn't truly high definition.

720p IS high definition....so is 1080i, etc.
Lots of shows and stations only broadcast in 720p, but it's still HD...

I know that, but I also know that 1080i (or now 1080p) is a much better picture. You can tell a real difference, especially during a football game. The problem is that our government instead of demanding standarization has allowed broadcasters to cut corners.
That 720P TV will never give you the same clarity that a 1080i will.

Well I know that...CBS always does 1080i, and it's great...
But it's all still high defintion...that was my main point.

So would you buy the 720P or opt for the 1080i? I'm going to be moving in June/July and will need to get a new main set as my old one will not fit in the spot I've selected to use for the TV (conveinent excuse).
Would you go with plasma, LCD or DLP?

Well obviously, you go for the one that does 720 and 1080...
I have a rear projection Sony Grand Wega LCD...and I love it.
Only downsideis really dark scenes are sometimes hard to make out.
But it's bright, and crisp...and beautiful. No shiny surface either like a DLP, lowers glare I think...and reflections...
