This should probably go in "Tech", but it is too cool not to share.
So instead of hosting an image on your own site or hotlinking to someone else's, do this.
Find the image you want to link to. I choose this one (
http://www.azcardinals.com/nm_files/...ed/boldin.gif) .
In you IE address bar, enter
http://imgred.com/ and then the url of the image. In this case, I would enter
http://imgred.com/http://www.azcardi...ted/boldin.gif
Now the image is stored at imgred and I can link it using;
Hotlinking is "generally bad because it leeches bandwidth from the host site, and as a result many webmasters have their servers set up to prohibit hot-linking."
