How stupid is this

So there is a serial rapist they are trying to catch...tomorrow night I guess, so AZ Central goes and posts an article about it:

Does it strike anyone else as completely idiotic that you plan this big sting/canvas of a neighborhood, but announce the day before in the biggest news site in the state what you are doing?

Sounds like announcing our military plans in Iraq before carrying them out, debating them on the floor of the Senate, etc.

We wouldn't do that though.
