Having Triple-A? Priceless!
From the Courier-Post in NJ...
Man dies removing tire with blow torch
CAMDEN -- An employee of Peerless Castings on Mechanic Street was killed while trying to remove a large truck tire from its metal rim with a blow torch, authorities said.
Orlando Guerrero-Lazario, 42, died of head injuries when the rim struck him around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Heat from the blow torch expanded air inside the tire, causing it to explode, authorities said. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
Okay, now how long before we start seeing warning signs on tires?

Okay since we were talking about how we didn't want to die.
Let me change mine from "burning to death" to "any manner of death that will earn me a Darwin Award."

I could see this happening to some unlucky schlub in rural West Virginia but shouldn't an employee of any kind of shop like this know better?

I cannot for the life of me, figure out how or where you would use a blow torch when trying to remove a tire from a rim?
These big truck tires are extremely dangerous for someone with no experience. Numerous deaths occur every year trying to seperate wheels from rims.

If that is the typical Jersey guy, then JG is probably better off in the OB-GYN office on V-Day.
