Ask for Chuck. (Chuck is from Globe, where I grew up).
I used to have to take my Honda Accord and a dodge car there for repairs. Tons of heavy duty stuff (transmission, exhaust, timing belt, engine mounts) he was honest, gave me good prices and the work was finished timely.
They were a no b.s. shop. No problem showing you what was wrong, explaining all your choices, and they let you make the decisions with no pressure or exaggerated comments like telling you your wheels are gonna fall of on your drive home because of problems with an axle.

Why are they trustworthy? WHat's your experience with them?
I have know Stan and his dad since Jr HS.
I used to work there at one time.
They are honest and fair. They will tell you straight up what is going on. If they are not the best shop to work on your particular car they will tell you that as well. These days some cars require specialized knowledge.

Like Bob (jw7), I've used Greulich's quite a bit and been happy. I only drive American though so I have no idea how their service is for foreign cars.
Glad it worked out for you BIM, I am really happy with them as well, although I traded in my Jeep for a Mazda3 and probably won't visit them until my warranty expires.
Yeah, Mike, I have posted this before, but the Gruelich's on 48th and Elliot are just honest people. Just a couple of experiences:
1) I have AAA, and one day my car wouldn't start. So I called AAA mobile battery service and they said it was not my battery, that it is probably the alternator. Well, after I had AAA tow my car in (for free), G's called me about an hour later and said that AAA mis-diagnosed it and I just needed a new battery and is $70 OK?
2) My next experience was for a 90K mile major service. Actually the car had 100K miles on it and I was just slacking. Well after changing all the belts, hoses, fluids and a tune-up, it came to about $600 which was on the very low end of what I was expecting.
But the kicker was when I came in to pick up the car, the guy said "That car is in pretty good shape. I don't anticipate it needing anything except oil changes for the next 30,000 miles."

That's awesome
I assume since they are family-owned, if I go to the one in Chandler, I ought to find close to the same service.
