Executive Recruiters

I was wondering if any of my local ASFN bretheren and sisteren have used recruiters before. I have an undergrad degree in IT from UA, an MBA from ASU and 5 years of experience with a Fortune 100 IT company. I have 2 years of team lead experience and am looking for a job change that will net me some MBA dollars.

Does anyone know of good recruiters here in the Valley or have any other worldly advice?

Peace.

Haven't used them in your particular field but I would venture to guess most of them are based in the Silicon Valley area and they recruit nationwide. You may want to try doing a google search and see if anything pops up.

I do have a lot of experience in this, I have an IT company that does Oracle related work.

In general IT recruiters will not help you much, in fact most companies won't work with them and refuse to pay their fees.

Not knowing what you do exactly it is difficult to say but if you are working in IT, then your MBA isn't likely to net you additional $$. For the right opportunity it may increase your chance of an interview but then you are on your own. Sorry if that isn't what you wanted to hear, but I have 25+ plus in this business and that is the hard truth.

If you do work with a recruiter, then there is one golden rule. The conpany doing the hiring pays the gold. If anybody asks you for $$, scream and run, actually be polite and get the heck out of dodge.

The economy is improving but IT pickings are still pretty lean in Phoenix, the most typical way folks get hired right now is contract to hire. So they can test drive you.

If you are intersted send me a PM and I'll give you my email address.
