Ever need a "throwaway" email address?

Like with arthurracoons ESPN post below, where you need to give an email to register, but don't want to receive spam?

The Mailinator

This site lets you create an email address on the fly. You can then use that to register where an email address is required. Just make up a name and you have a mail address. No registration, no password.

Anyone can read your email if they know the name you created, but heck, anyone can read my spam.

This is the cool site of the month, IMO. You have to read the FAQ, you'll crack up!

This sounds pretty insecure. What if I send important emails with sensitive super-secret information in them to mailinator?
Then you are a stupid-head. That isn't what this is for.

I read further. You do not even need to go to the site first, just enter whatever@mailinator.com at the site that is asking for your email.

When email arrives at mailinator, they create the account on the fly.

You can then check your mail in a few mins...then they blow away the account in a couple hours.

Youre welcome, I saw it on a tech board and had to try it out.

I give it like 2-3 weeks before mailinator addresses start getting banned.
