Don't read if squeamish!

Just over an hour ago I was sitting down eating a sandwich when I heard a very loud scream from next door. I looked outside and saw that our kid neighbor somehow broke a window and had a massive cut on his arm. There was blood gushing everywhere. So I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around his arm and called 9-1-1.

The police and EMTs arrived and were amazed at the depth of the cut and blood loss. They rushed him to a trauma center because he had lost over a liter of blood. They figured he cut an artery.

The fire department had to come with two trucks to hose the blood off his house, my fence and my sidewalk.

Fast thinking. You may have saved that kids life.

Of course that makes him your slave as soon as he heals he should be mowing your lawn.

He cut an artery and some tendons. He had emergency surgery and is back home now. I hear he only has some numbness in his pinky.

His family brought us a nice gift basket with a gift card to buy towels to replace the blood-soaked ones. He's still going to mow the lawn, though
