Okay. So, I am definitely going out with guy number two tomorrow. We are going out to see some band in North Phoenix and having dinner (hopefully, not at Applebees) prior to that.
I am not 100% comfortable with having him pick me up at my place. I keep hearing the phrase "he could be an axe murderer" playing in my head.
Am I being paranoid? Should I meet him or let him pick me up? Remember, I have only met this dude once and I was smashed. But he sounds really nice on the phone. What should I do?
Thanks.

MEET HIM THERE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY!!!
my "life advice" to my children has always been, "if you ever have some nagging thought in the back of your mind, telling you that you SHOULDN'T do something--then listen to it!! It's there for a reason"! So, I tell you the same thing. If you have even a slightly uncomfortable feeling about having him pick you up--listen to it! The bad part isn't necessarily him picking you up, but it leaves you little option but for him to take you home, too.

Right on... Until you get to a point where you feel comfortable, be sure to meet him or anyone else in a public place...

definitely meet him and not just because he could be a murderer - but it's just a good first date idea - don't ever be that reliable on someone you don't know - he could be a horrible date, then after an akward night that wont end you are stuck with an uncomfortable car ride
You could know someone for 5 years and know they are a axe murderer. Take the chance. Plus this way afterward you can go back to your place so you are in control and can kick him out at anytime.
