Did they get Sadaam already???
They said the initial attack was an "attack of opportunity"...they are saying that they have been spying on Sadaam and his high ranking officers, and basically they saw him go into this bunker, and then they hit it with a "bunker buster" missle.
If he was indeed there, could you imagine how quickly this could be over?

And then the problem would arise of what to do with all the bombs we had left over.

Iran is close!
There's always France.
They don't want to say it officially, but they think they might have known where Saddam was.

Yes, Wayward, I wonder too...they seem to have known where he was...I guess it's just a matter of finding out if they hit him or not.
Should be an interesting day tomorrow.

Supposedly Sadaam is going to address Irag in 15 minutes. It is daytime in Iraq. We will see, but it doesn't appear to be completely successful...

I haven't heard that. I wonder if our stations will broadcast that.
I just heard that about a thousand troops are beginning an operation in Afghanistan. They might be trying to go after UBL simultaneously.

Does anyone else find it strange that Saddam isn't in hiding and would have allowed himself to be out in the open and under the eyes of our contacts? I mean, many dictator types are actually cowards when it comes to actual combat...ESPECIALLY against a superior force. I had presumed he would have been safely tucked away.

Maybe since it was practically daybreak he was thinking he was safer until nightfall again.
Let's hope we got him...

I agree. Did you ever hear reports about how he had some people altered surgically to look like him?
I also wonder where his sons are since they are clearly targets. Again I presume they would be separated from Saddam...and tucked away.

Iraqi TV is saying the Hussein is going to speak shortly.
Well, if it is live, that would really suck. I wonder if it isn't taped though. I guess it will depend on what he says.
Air Raid sirens are NOW going off in Baghdad.
FoxNews is going to have a report from Geraldo Rivera soon. He is WITH those troops staging their raids in Afghanistan.
Just want to keep everyone informed.

Everytime someone mentions Geraldo all I can think of is Al Capone's vault and that bandaged up broken nose. I just cannot take him seriously about anything.

I agree, but he has balls.
If he can get us a report on what they're doing, I can overlook that other stuff. If I'm still up when they go to him I'll report anything significant.
