Mike, these changes are a long-time coming. I know I speak for many posters that anything we can do to make this site self-sufficient is more than welcome.

Are the ads going to be on the site, or on the forums?

They will be site-wide, which includes the forums.

We get an OKAY amount of traffic on the main page, but probably 25 times as much on the forums.

These ads aren't as much impression based as they are click-through based. So the more impressions, the more chances of click-throughs. And if you guys take time everyday to click on a link or two, that should help us.

Like I said, they will mostly be text-link ads, so you wont see flashy banners, etc. No popups.

If you need to use my likeness in any of the ads, I will consent.

I don't mind ads in itself. Pop ups ads are what kills me.

If you could target ads to the posters on this site, what would they be?
