I logged out to check the ads. I had to look closely to find the ads. Definitely not like Time Square or Chase Field.

Considering how the click-through-rates have been so far in the first 12 hours, I may need to expand it and also ask Michael Vick if he likes the desert

I probably could get those ads to be more focused on Arizona, and not Chicago too.

Did they not bother you having them in the middle of the threads?

Basically they appear after the first post in a thread and after the last.

The ads in the thread aren't too bad. I think that since they are text ads and not graphics, the viewer can ignore them.

Actually, some of them (since I had it for guests only) are actual banner graphics, not just text. You probably got unlucky (or lucky) and didn't see them

Is it possible to keep having the ads for guests only? That would be great but if they must be on the main board for members, I think I could live with it no problem.

Yeah, it's possible. I probably will, but wanted to think about it.

I've always loved the absence of ads, but I have also thought it would be necessary someday. Completely understandable & it won't bother me at all, fwiw.

I may make the header one for everyone, but the in-thread ones for guests.

Let me know what you think.

They are in-line, so they really don't look so bad I don't think.

Most sites and forums have ads these days, so yeah, we've sort of been on the tail end of that ride.

Here is what I really think. The text ads blend in with everything and the banner ads are not that bad. The one that I don't like is the banner ad after the first post. It seems obtrusive to me.
I don't know if the banner ads pay better or not. If they do I would put one at the very top and after the last post and skip the one after the first post.
