Applause for Dennis Miller
He appeared on the tonight and made the following statement:
"I want to thank President Bush and I want to thank the troops for making the hard decisions so that the rest of us can make the easy decisions like appearing on The Tonight Show."

I got this in an email two days ago...
KEEPING IT SIMPLE
By Dennis Miller
All the rhetoric on whether or not we should go to war against Iraq has got my insane little brain spinning like a roulette wheel. I enjoy reading opinions from both sides, but I have detected a hint of confusion from some of you. As I was reading the paper recently, I was reminded of the best advice someone ever gave me. He told me about the KISS method ("Keep it Simple, Stupid"). So, with this as a theme, I'd like to apply this theory for those who don't quite get it. My hope is that we can simplify things a bit and recognize a few important facts.
Here are 10 things to consider when voicing an opinion on this important
issue:
1) President Bush and Saddam Hussein.....Hussein is the bad guy.
2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing, keep this in mind. They have Libya heading the Committee on Human Rights and Iraq heading the Global Disarmament Committee. Do your own math here.
3) If you use Google Search and type in "French Military Victories," your reply will be "Did you mean French Military Defeats?"
4) If your only anti-war slogan is "No war for oil," sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserve.
5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us.
6) Despite what some seem to believe, Martin Sheen is NOT the President. He just plays one on TV.
7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "Infidel" and Bin Laden wants you dead, too.
8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy," but not in the danger that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with "Steven" the Dell computer dude.
9) We are not trying to liberate them.
10) Whether you are for military action, or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all need to support them without reservation.
******* SUPPORT OUR TROOPS *******

my rights
... if Saddam is in or out of power, will be there
He nor anybody else is a credible threat to invade our country.
Russia, China, Britain, France, and maybe Israel have ICBM arsenals.
No-one has a navy or army that can take us.
"America" has become a world wide nation (or should i say corporation?), hence, any threat to American "interests" is a threat to the nation.
Terrorism against us is a result of our play for dominance in the middle east and our support for Israel.
It is a price of empire. I'm lucky to be American, but I only take pride in things I've done (or not done), not where I was born

That's just sad, and quite frankly, insulting to all our soldiers dying for you in the Middle East.

I don't necessarily agree - or disagree for that matter - with everything andikrist has to say, but after reading (and rereading) your response Chap, I just don't get it.

Tell that to the people who died on September 11th. If you're okay with terrorists taking out chunks of people here and there, and American doing nothing to stop it, then I think you have your head on backwards.

andikrist said he wasn't proud to be born here, only lucky to have been born here.
Chap was questioning that and found it insulting to the men fighting and dying in the Middle East.
Maybe it can be best explained in the words of Lee Greenwood "I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died that gave that right to me..."

Huh?
What world do you currently live in?
Mike is right on with this one.
Remember 9/11?
Did those flights originate in:
A)Iraq
B)Syria
C)Afghanistan
D)Boston, Massachusetts, USA
We were invaded. The terrorists lived here, thrived here, learned here and then attacked here. There are still terrorists living among us.
