Not sure how many Crispin Glover fans there are out there, but I am one of them. As soon as I saw he was cast for this film, I could not wait to see it. He was incredible. The fact that he is so creepy to begin with made this role a natural for him.

The movie itself was not the greatest, but his performance was definitely worth the price of admission.

Crispin Glover is an excellent actor. I've enjoyed his work for years (even in the Godawful Charlie's Angels) and this was in my opinion one of the best jobs he's ever done. He really made the movie work. It was a very difficult movie to categorize and I can tell it didn't do too well at the box office because it's a pretty slow, character-driven movie (and the driving force is a relationship between Willard and his rats). I recommend it, though, as long as the audience knows what to expect. Am I the only one who thought "Ben" was one of the creepiest things ever? Couldn't tell if it were animatronics or CGI or if that was how the real rat looked but damn that thing was scary!

FYI, the original cut was much more graphic and the DVD will contain the uncut footage.
