Oh hell yeah. How can you go wrong with a lineup of Johnny Depp, Mickey Rourke, and Willem Dafoe? All we're missing is Patrick Swayze! I guess Enrique Iglesias will have to do.
Looks like a whole lot of fun.

I really like El Mariachi. Rumor has it that most of the film was done with first shots - no re-takes., due to budget.
If so, that is truly incredible. Can anyone confirm this.
Also, I have seen the dubbed version and also the subtitled one - I like the subtitled version better. Anyone else seen both?
Aslo, one of the friends at the end of Desperado is the original El Mariachi.
Me & my wife absolutley loved Desperado. We have seen it 3 times in the theaters and many more on cable. In matter of fact, it is the movie that he have seen most in the theater. We saw Titanic twice and Shawshank twice.
Not MOST. THE ENTIRE FILM WAS DONE IN SINGLE TAKES.
Totally amazing. Rodriguez maxed his credit cards and even sold plasma to finance the film.
I used to not care for Desperado. El Mariachi was so indie and gritty and tough. Desperado pissed me off casue it felt like a huge budget remake of a perfect film, and I was bummed at Rodriguez for making it. But I watched it a few mroe times, and he really did know what he was doing. Taking all that cash, and turning it into a huge over the top campy action flick.
All I can say is figure out a way to pick up Rebel Without A Crew, which is an account of how he made El Mariachi. I never really liked Robert Rodriguez until I read that book, now I think he's great. Keep in mind he does just about everything in his movies--directing, writing, cinematography, special effects, sound, music supervising...
