How would you rate this series say compared to the Hunger Games trilogy?
Is it worth investing the time in?
Wow that would be a tough comparison, just too different. This book kind of reminded me of Bonfire of the Vanities in a sense (multiple stories of flawed characters which slowly begin to intertwine), but then throw in some Silence of the Lambs to boot. It's kind of twisted, sexual and sometimes violently so. It starts off kind of slowly but builds to a really strong book with lots of huge reveals and excitement. I'm in the second one now, and so far it is a lot faster paced.
I really am digging it, but I'm very eclectic in reading...
Lisbeth Salandar is a unique, enjoyable and interesting character.
If you aren't put off by violence or sex in your novels, it's a phenomenal read. If you are ok with that but don't prefer it, it's still a great read.
