Continuity, sure, that's always an issue. But Maggie is light years ahead of where Katie Holmes is acting-wise--and IMO based on that, the change was a good decision. And again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder--you think she's ugly. Fine. Luckily for the movie, the producers didn't base the character on superficial middle-aged men. j/k

Yes, Katie was easier on the eyes but I don't think this is the type of movie where they were looking to provide eye candy to the audience aside from the special FX. To me the casting of Katie Holmes was barely only one tier better then the casting of Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl. I didn't buy that casting decision and I didn't by Katie as a DA assistant. PS. I would love to see the Riddler as the next bad guy but I think the character is similar in some ways to the Joker. So I think they will go with maybe the Penguin? The Riddler would be my choice though.

Wow, 4 pages about how Gyllenhaal isn't attractive enough to play the part? I don't think she's a 10, but she's definitely not bad on the eyes.

Finally saw this. I give it an IMDB 8/10. MG is attractive to me, mostly because of her attitude. Shouldn't we assume the Joker will still be around since he is just left hanging there? What about Catwoman as the next villian? When Wayne asks if the new armor is dog proof and Fox responded with something about being "cat proof", that was def foreshadowing in my book.

To me, the big reason why I liked the Dark Knight was because it was, well....dark. Which, the Joker was perfect for. The Cat Woman always struck me as a high class thief. While the Joker wanted to cause mayhem and violence, which gives the film a great edge. I think the Riddler could work as well. Die Hard 3, with it's flaws, kind of had a Riddleresque bad guy, which could work.

Also, the mayor seemed to have a ton of eyeliner on...... Could he be the Riddler?

It's a quick read, so I recommend if you're at all interested in Batman villains (The Batman only appears for 2 panels), read "Joker's Asylum: The Penguin." It's really well written. EDIT: I downloaded one of them to see what it looked like, but it's an unknown file type (.cbr). How do I open it?
