Thumbs up

Tears of the Sun!

All I can say is this is a very powerfull and emotional movie.

It was well acted and the storyline is very good. There wasnt quite as much action as I thought there would be but all in all I would highly recommend this movie!

There are some very disturbing scenes and issues that are addressed in this move so if you are in just a mood for an action flick dont go see this!

This is a terrific film! I was actually pleasantly surprised because the director is not my favorite.

I thought it was quite realistic, although I wonder about the realism of such an undertaking in the first place. But it did a good job of personalizing the conflict, yet keeping political implications intact.

Oh, and covered in blood and dirt, Monica Bellucci is still extremely hot!

Good flick - but I found it hard to belive that 9 soldiers could hold back 300 Nigerian combat proven troops at the end -

also I'm not a big fan of the whole heroin script - we need to get her out - she wants to stay with her people - the soldiers decide to take her side -yada yada yada -

but it was still a pretty good watch - I'll say 2.5 stars out of 5

Yeah, it was a great movie. I feel that the 9 men could take on the 300 nigerians, but not out in the open like they were. They are Navy SEALs, and spec-ops are trained to practical perfection.

I feel it was a very powerful movie, and I haven't seen it in a while. I need to check it out again.
