A friend of mine at work recommended that I see the movie "The Sweetest Thing" with Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate. He said it was a very funny movie, but I am aprehensive.

Haven't seen it but if it has Christina Applegate it would be worth it to me!
Holy CRAP! I watched this with my wife, who has a thing for chick flicks, and IM not opposed to them if they are good, but I SO wish I could have those 90 minutes back. Sure the ladies look good, but the movie is a steaming hunk of peanutty turd.
Dude, Saturday morning I was woken up by my wife's laughter....this movie was on. No matter how hot these chicks are...there are no nude scenes and there is a complete chick flick undertone.

Ken I bought it and highly recommend it! Chick flick or not the movie is hilariously funny!
Ken to me chick flick has nothing to do with it. I didnt even crack a smile. The T and A was obviously included to placify the husbands, and the humor was the most contrived, wanna-be-something-about-mary-gross-out-humor-that-fails-because-it's-a-ripoff type humor.
I didnt even crack a smile during that turd of a film.

Wow some of you guys must be a real riot with those sense of humors you got.
This movie was extremely funny regardless of T and A! Go get it Ken!
Nice Shane. How would you know if I have a sense of humor or not? You might assume I dont, but I now assume yours on par with that of a third grader.
I have an excellent sense of humor, am a funny SOB if I may say so, repeatedly like to play the role of funny guy and do so exceptionally well, and still this movie plain and simply WAS NOT FUNNY.

Everyone has their own, individual tastes. That is what makes them individuals.
Ken, based on what everyone is saying, I'd say you have about a 50/50 chance of liking it, which means you are really no better off than you were originally. It looks like you're just going to have to watch it and decide for yourself.
