I just watched it. This is one of the largest box office bombs I’ve seen in a while. It had a budget of $75 million and it only grossed $14.5 million. It wasn’t very good, but I didn’t think it was horrible. I thought it was decent mindless entertainment.
I thought these two trivia items were interesting:
Todd, the main character of this movie, is on screen over 85% of the time but only speaks a total of 104 words.
A false press statement was released, saying that Kurt Russell broke his ankle during a stunt, when in fact he tripped over an ornamental cabbage during a break.

His body is left behind in a semi-abandoned colonial planet, where everything is peaceful, and he is taught about the other aspects of life. But eventually he has to fight the new breed of soldiers again, this time to defend his new home...
