Saw the movie this past Friday. It was quite comical. Here's a link to the trailer. http://www.apple.com/trailers/mgm/saved/

I can't wait to see this movie - Any Mandy Moore appearance and I'll go see it.

It's nice to see her branching out slightly on her roles.. apparently she's playing a Reese Witherspoon/Election type role. Whee!

Moore was pretty good. Jena Malone and Martin Donovan were great I thought.

Excellent film. Didn't quite have the real impact The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys had, but that's a bit unfair, as aside from religion, children, and a Caulkin, they were completely different types of films. Well done by Macauly (spelling?) Caulkin...great role.

***spoiler***

Macauly (spelling) Caulkin's line about the pipe bomb, and the followups, were absolutely HYSTERICAL!!!

FINALLY saw this.

I thought it absolutely histerical.

My favorite line and scene was (SPOILER )

"Of course I'm upset... I just crashed my van into Jesus!"

(or something like that)

I also liked the part where they were like: "But I'm the boyfriend. I'm the father. I'm his boyfriend" LOL

Anyway, this movie had me cracking up the whole time. Mandy Moore was excellent, especially in the end scenes. I loved everyone in it. Jena Malone, Patrick Fugit (hottie) and Caulkin were great. And I loved the bad girl... she played that role well.

Anyhoo, this is definitely a movie I'm getting when it comes out. Maybe I related too well with the school uniforms, or maybe I just liked how they joked about the born again Christians. Either way, I enjoyed it throughly!

I saw it... Mandy Moores character reminded me of this girl I knew in high school (well at least until she went crazy). Religious fantatics..... they scare me sometimes.

All in all the movie was pretty funny, was worth the 6.50.

Just saw this last night and I loved it. Hilarious poke at the ultra-religious and how some of them can be so hypocritical.

I am not a big fan of Mandy Moore, but she did a great job in this film and was very convincing as the over-the-top religious girl with no real clue about anything. It was great to see that character brought down to reality and ultimately crash and burn.

Culkin was also very good which was a surprise. Nice to see him be able to break away from the Home Alone stuff and put forth a good effort in what seemed like a pretty challenging role. Will that guy ever lose the baby face?

Perhaps the ending was a bit too happy, but the overall message was a good one.

That is one of the things that made her so successful in this role. Maybe it wasn't too big a stretch for her to play the spoiled brat who gets everything she wants.

I liked her in A Walk to Remember, thought she was pretty convincing in that as well.

There is just something about her I don't care for. Maybe it is that image of "the good girl" that she plays off of. I expect her to take a Britney/Christina turn at some point and go sleezy.

Out of all the popular actresses out there, I think Mandy is the most real. She still lives with her parents and brother, doesn't wear the outlandish clothes that you see some celebrities in, does charity work etc.

Sure, some of that may be a front, but compared to the majority of actresses out there, I view her as the most down-to-earth. Obviously I'm slightly biased because she is my favorite actress, but still.

I'm excited for her future roles, and the growth that's to come.

Shes not an actress. Shes a frickin singer. Name one major movie she was in. And as for her still living with mommy and daddy, its becuase they raised her from day one to be this mega superstar. Which still hasnt happened. She is still under the control of her parents. She is told to say the right things, listen to her speech pattern and her eyes. All prefabricated.
