Movie A Day #258 -- Liar, Liar

Quote:
Fletcher Reid is a fast talking attorney and habitual liar. When his son Max blows out the candles on his fifth birthday cake, he has only one wish, 'that his dad would stop lying for 24 hours'. When Max's wish miraculously comes true, Fletcher discovers that his biggest asset (his mouth) has suddenly become his biggest liability. Legal and emotional havoc ensue as Fletcher tries to keep his practice afloat and his ex-wife Audrey from taking their son and moving to Boston.
Probably Carrey's second best "silly" comedy, after Dumb and Dumber.

I don't see this one so much as a Dumb and Dumber type movie. It's more serious. No, not Eternal Sunshine, Truman Show or the like, but less Ace Ventura and more...hey, he can actually act a little bit too??

A dreadful movie that inappropriately demeans that most noble of all professions: The practice of law.

I don't know, I kinda liked Ace Ventura in a goofy-kind of way.

Me, sarcastic?? Yeah, right!! I would never be sarcastic on something as important and sacred as a sports message board.

It was good fun.

You want Gandhi? Go rent it, along with bamboo splints to shove under your eyelids..... I like fun.
