I'm stealing a day from arthurraccon. And I'll do it again if he doesn't start posting!
You can't call yourself a red blooded American man unless you've subjected yourself to this one! And if not, go turn your T.V. on. Chances are TBS is playing it.
Plot: Dalton, the best bouncer in the backwoods (crazy redneck, or is it enraged hillbilly). Is hired to clean up a dirty bar.
What is there not to like about this movie? Patrick Swayze is at his mullet-lovin' best as the philosophy-spewin' bouncer who cracks heads and enlightens all at the same time! It is so full of unintentional humor that it's become kind of a classic despite its cheesiness.
Everybody who's seen it has their favorite line. My personal has to be one of the goons saying "I used to **** guys like you in prison!". I spit beer through my nose the first time I heard that one. What else do you expect from a screenwriter named David Lee Henry (who also wrote the craptacular Segal flickOut for Justice) and a director name Rowdy. Think they were going for the redneck audience?

Ha ha, I knew that some Patrick Swayze action would get you out of hiding
And to think, tomorrow I had a great look at the Rowdy Roddy Piper classic Hell Comes to Frogtown set up.

Roadhouse was on my list of guilty pleasures. It is so bad, but whenever it comes on I just can't help but watch. It has to be all the corny one-liners:
"Hurts don't it?"
"It's my way or the highway."
"I used to f*** guys like you in prison!"
"Pain don't hurt."
"You're my little Saturday night thing!"

Theres nothing fun about it at all. Swayze has to be in the top 10 worst actors of all time. In terms of film selection. Im sure he's capable of being a good actor, he played a good role in Donnie Darko. But man. Ghost? Dirty Dancing? Point Break? Roadhouse? Thats a slew of crap right there.
