Movie a Day #133: Terminator 2

Who said sequels aren't any good? Nearly 10 years have passed since Sarah Connor was targeted for termination by a cyborg from the future. Now her son, John, the future leader of the resistance, is the target for a newer, more deadly terminator. Once again, the resistance has managed to send a protector back to attempt to save John and his mother Sarah. Awsome CGI effects for a 1991 film. Arnold, Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton, and Robert Patrick are all great in their roles.

I still love this movie...the best of the trilogy I think.

I like all 3 of the movies, but on a pure "thrills" level, I think this one takes the trophy. I do think, however, that the first movie is better, but that may be because it doesn't rely as much on special effects. In T2, Robert Patrick was an effect himself. Plus, there's nothing wrong with seeing Schwarzenegger as a bad guy.

I wasn't all that impressed with T3. Are they continuing the series without Arnold?

I agree. I like the first one best. I thought it was kind of a rip off that they made Schwarzenegger a good guy in the 2nd one.

I absolutely hated Edward Furlong's character. His squeaky voice was beyond irritating.
