Matrix Reloaded (SPOILERS possible)

*** NO SPOILERS IN THIS POST ***

OMG - whatever you have going on in your life right NOW is not so important that you can't put it aside for 2.5 hours and watch this movie.

Call in sick to work, ditch school, post-pone your wedding, skip the funeral and take flowers to the graveside tomorrow. Buy, lie, steal, mug or whatever to get your tickets - this movie RAWKS!!!

The FX are amazing - this movie kills the first one in that department imo. I can't believe how good it was - looks like I'll probably be going again real, real soon - and that ain't a bad thing.

This may be the worst movie I have ever seen. I feel cheated. I've seen porn movies with better plots than this. I am going to go cry now.

Wow Eric, there is NO WAY the movie was that bad...even with the orgy scene, and the stupid cake orgasm scene...lol...the movie could have done without both, in my opinion..

I don't see how you can criticize a plot that hasn't yet fully been revealed. Obviously there is something going on, but I can't put my finger on it yet. (lol, sounds pretty lame, but it's 1am)

That architect talking about repopulating Zion...what the heck does that mean? How can he repopulate something that isn't part of the Matrix....or is it?

Which brings me to the next question...Neo stopping the sentinels...why? Cause he's still in the Matrix? Or maybe he took something back with him into the real world? Because I've thought all along that the movies would be weird if Neo was ONLY powerful in the Matrix and nowhere else.

Can anyone explain to me what the architect was saying? THis is the 6th Matrix? And Neo would become part of the source and start over? I somehow had a hard time following his speech, and watching all the screens in the background.

Overall, I liked the movie, minus those two scenes. The fight with the hundred Smiths was just downright the most awesome thing I've ever seen done in a movie. Then it's followed up by an insane car chase...I mean good lord.

Some parts there seemed to be too much talking, like visiting the french guy, or even the architect, but that one started getting better minute by minute.

By the way, make sure you stay until the end of the credits for a special treat.

I give it Four of out Five "Ski's"

He trashed it completely, and I think a little undeserving, although I get some of where he's coming from.

I liked the movie, but part of me left thinking that something was missing...it didn't have the same style of the first one, which was just awesome. I think they could have done that in this one as well, and a little better.

Lots of cryptic dialogue, which was a little annoying at times...especially with the architect...

I dunno, I want to see it again, but not as much as I thought I would before seeing it.

It's fairly simple--it's part 2. The story is extremely open-ended, and you feel like you are in the midst of a 6-month intermission. This felt more like a part 2 than The Two Towers did.

That idiot from the AP has some points, BUT he totally destroys the movie based on an asinine statement--"worst sequel to a good film ever made". That is just idiotic.

All in all, I liked the movie, although they used waaaay too much technobabble and I kept thinking of Sodom and Gomorrah at the beginning orgy scene.

I'm not sure I give it the unequivacable recommendation that Fischerking did, but it certainly is worth the ticket price.

Exactly, and that may be the problem...it's like we're right in the middle of a huge story, and there was no "psuedo-ending" for Part 2 like in LOTR, or TT...it just kind of ended, leaving you a little lost, unclear about a bunch of things.

As far as eye-candy goes - this is it though. The Special FX and stunts were absolutely fantastic.

So I may have been a little carried away when I wrote the opening post - it was 1 AM and I just arrived home from the movie - so it might be a bit over the top, but it was definitely worth the $8 and it's going to be worth another with my repeat business.

Looking forward to catching it on the screen again - hopefully this weekend.

I felt like I was walking out of Back to the Future Part 2 all over again, the only difference is, this one did not leave me chomping at the bit for the final installment.

The Coors Light commercial with the worst love/sex scene I've seen in a long time could have definitely been eliminated and the story would have been no worse off as a result. Perhaps Neo was planting a seed and there is some importance to that?

The chocolate orgasmic pie was hilarious. Where is the recipe for that?

I thought the action sequences were great. The movie definitely had holes, but overall it was still pretty entertaining. I'd drop another $8 on X-men 2 though before I would on this one.

I was thinking about the same thing.

Which movie would I see again first? X2 or Matrix?

Tough question, but I see myself edging to X2.

Yeah, I have to admit feeling slightly like that about this as well.

For those of us who were impatient and did not wait till the end of the credits, what was the surprise?
