I've read the book and it's really good, especially if you are a pet owner yourself. I don't really read books, either.

I can't express the level of emotional hijacking this movie does to you.

It's not a bad movie but.....

Average. It was funny in parts. Most of the movie wasnt even about the damned dog IMO. Is pretty sad too.

Sigh...I want to see this; mostly because my dog, Majerle, died 2 years ago...not sure I could take it, though.

What the hell, my wife got me to go to this and I expected a funny comedy.... boy was I wrong. This movie makes you feel like crap as a dog lover its just sad and its more about marriage and death of a beloved family pet. It was pretty good but all in all wish I didn't watch it felt like complete crap afterward, and my wife was a crying emotional mess.

You couldn't trust me on this.

I was crying and I don't cry and what was funnier is that my wife refuses to go to dog movies for one reason, we were sure that reason would not be in this movie, we were wrong.

I was laughing because the kids sat between us and I knew if I felt that bad she must of been near death and so I was laugh crying and my kids thought I flipped a lid.

Yeah, I'll probably save this for some "I'm horribly depressed & I want to make myself feel even more miserable" night.

Though, I haven't had one of those in a good long while...might not ever see this one. Still want to, though.
