We watched this movie last night...deinitely not a comedy, lol.
Very real image of the drug trade and how women in south america become mules to bring in drugs...some of them by swallowing big pellets, as much as 60 of them, and bring them in and end up having the pellets come out the other end...
Pretty horrible stuff, but a very well done movie. The lead actress was tremendous and convincing.
Subtitles though, if you can deal with them.

Hey! Glad you posted about this. My inlaws bought us this movie a couple weeks ago & we haven't watched it yet. I knew it was a bit dark and subtitled, but the reviews I've read say it's worth the time. Since it has Chandler Mike's one thumb up, I'll go for it.
Just watched it. Very good movie. I didn’t really know about this whole “mule” thing. Because it has subtitles I decided to watch it with the commentary on, since I couldn’t understand what they were saying anyway. It made the movie even more interesting because he went into a lot of detail regarding the whole process of transporting the drugs accross and what really happens to these people.

I finally got around to watching this movie and enjoyed it very much. Catalina Sandino Moreno is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. :drool:
